Happy New Years Eve. . . still from Seattle! Unfortunately, I am still here being treated for some pretty serious viral infections. And, after blasting out my entire immune system, my body is really in a a battle!
My outpatient life is very mundane. I sleep at the Mariott Residence Inn and then Paul takes me about a block up the hill in a wheel chair to the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. I spend most of my day there, having labwork and infusions. . . then I get wheeled down the hill back to the hotel. Eating and drinking is very challenging.
The doctors are trying to coordinate with the Bay Area doctors to get me home, but these holiday weeks have been tricky.
I know it's a lot to ask, but we we could still use prayers. Especially for Paul, being a Care Giver is brutal and he he is amazing!

Day +30 Still In Seattle
December 21, 2018
First day on the computer in a long time. . . Things have gotten a lot more complicated and we are still in Seattle. I have been hit pretty hard with two viruses that my non-existent immune system cannot fight off. I check into the hospital every day and and am inundated with fluids, antibiotics and a zillion other things that pop up. Paul is an absolute life-saver and the most diligent caregiver.
We really hoped to get home for Christmas, but that is not going to happen. I miss my kids terribly and feel awful that they are going to be home without us. Luckily, we have amazing relatives nearby who I know will embrace them.
Enjoy your families and hug everyone tight! Please continue to keep us in your prayers!
Best,
Maribeth

December 7 Outpatients Again Day+17
Day +17
I apologize for the lack of blogs, many days have gone by that I don't even recall. . .everything that the doctors and veterans told me could happen, happened. . . and worse! Many a time I have questioned the validity of this treatment.
On a good note, I had a very helpful visit from my mom, dad and sister. Christy helped navigate them around Seattle and and managed the exchange of Caregiver from them to Paul.
The doctors say I am on track and if all goes well will be home for Christmas! Please say some extra prayers for the pain to go away....Thank you all
